In terms of the Housing and
Buildings Act [Chapter 22:07], a local authority is either a Municipal Council,
a Town Council, or a Local Board, established in terms of the Urban Councils
Act [Chapter 29:15], or a Rural District Council established in terms of the
Rural District Councils Act [Chapter 29:13].
